Acumen Performance Hypnosis Information
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind, a state that people enter spontaneously several times a day. Have you ever daydreamed? Ever gotten lost in a book you are reading or a movie you are watching? Have you ever driven to a well known spot and forgotten the journey? These are all forms of focused concentration, a type of hypnosis.
The difference in between these experiences and clinical hypnosis is that the aim of clinical hypnosis is the achievement of a specific goal. In hypnosis the mind is in a state of high suggestibility. But do not equate suggestibility with gullibility. Your subconscious mind will filter out any suggestions that do not fit for you.
Why Performance Hypnosis?
Hypnosis can be used for improving life in many ways. Smoking cessation and changing poor eating habits are just two of the many issues hypnosis can help you. But did you know that it can also help with stopping nail biting and alleviating certain types of pain? Also people have come in to improve their performance in golf, tennis and in horse show competitions. Hypnosis can help you in your sport too. It can even improve your work and study skills.
Give me a call at 337-4042 and we will asses if hypnosis can help you meet your goals.
Process of Hypnosis
Your initial appointment is for you to get to know me and me to get to know you. I will listen to hear how you process information and learn new things. By doing this I can better prepare for the hypnosis session that will deliver to your subconscious mind the information it needs to achieve your goals in your own unique style.
Between the first and second session I will prepare a hypnotic script that incorporates your goals with your style of thinking and behaving.
The second session is when the custom prepared hypnotic script is delivered to you while you are in trance. After that we will determine if more sessions are needed.
